American Grace Min Wins 2011 US Open Junior Girls Title

Grace Min, 2011 US Open Junior Girls Winner

If the 2011 US Open taught us anything, it’s that the future of American tennis is alive and well. From Christina McHale to Donald Young to Madison Keys to Jack Sock, it looks like there are several future stars blossoming. Add to that list Junior Girls winner Grace Min. I first wrote about Grace on this blog when she partnered with Eugenie Bouchard to win the 2011 Wimbledon Girls Doubles title. Now she can add the 2011 US Open Junior Girls Singles title to her growing list of accomplishments. Grace upset #1 seed Caroline Garcia of France, 7-5 7-6 (3).  Min is the first unseeded player and first American to win the junior title since Coco Vandeweghe.
