Alicia Molik Granted Wildcard Into 2011 Australian Open

Alicia Molik Holds A Replica Of the Aussie Open Trophy...Will She Ever Hold The Real One After Winning A Singles Championship?

Former world #8 and Olympic Bronze Medalist Alicia Molik of Australia has been granted a wildcard into the 2011 Australian Open. Molik retired briefly in 2008 due to nagging injuries. However, she embarked on a comeback in 2009 on the ITF, eventually working her way back to Tour level. She is a 5 time WTA singles winner and 7 time WTA doubles winner. She has been ranked as high as #6 in the world in doubles. Good luck to Alicia in Melbourne!
