LPGA To Increase Player Charity Donations For RR Donnelley Cup

The LPGA has increase the player’s charitable donation from $500,ooo to $1,000,000. Half will go to LPGA-USGA Girls Golf and half to the player’s designated charity. The $500,000 to player charities is split between the top 10 finishers. Additionally, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA’s first Major of the year, will grant automatic entry in the KNC to the top 5 finishers at RR Donnelley. Due to increased player interest, the field has been expanded from 132 players to 134 players, with a qualifying round to be played on the March 15th. The top two finishers will gain entry into the field. The breakdown of how the $500,000 will be split among the top 10 finishers:

1st place: $200,000 to charity of player’s choice
2nd place: $100,000 to charity of player’s choice
3rd place: $55,000 to charity of player’s choice
4th place: $40,000 to charity of player’s choice
5th place: $30,000 to charity of player’s choice
6th place: $25,000 to charity of player’s choice
7th place: $20,000 to charity of player’s choice
8th place: $15,000 to charity of player’s choice
9th place: $10,000 to charity of player’s choice
10th place: $5,000 to charity of player’s choice
