Vera Zvonareva
Two-time defending Pattaya champion and top seed Vera Zvonareva won her 12th straight match at the event, defeating Nungnadda Wannasuk 6-1 7-5, to move into the quarterfinals. In the top half of the draw, I see no impediments preventing Vera from reaching another final. Maybe Daniela Hantuchova, if she advances, can catch Vera on an off-day and upset her, but I think it’ll be tough to prevent Vera from winning a third straight title.
