Victoria Azarenka
2011 Sony Ericsson Open champion Victoria Azarenka keeps on rolling, as she downed Italy’s Sara Errani 6-2 6-1 to reach her second straight WTA final. She will face Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania, who won an error-filled match with Svetlana Kuznetsova, 3-6 7-6 (3) 6-4. Although I can’t say that I like Begu’s chances in the final against the powerful Azarenka, if Begu were to win it would be a great story. She entered the Marabella event as a qualifier who had never, as in never ever, zilch, zero, won a main draw match in a WTA event. She would definitely be a Cinderella story were she to go from zero main draw wins one week ago to champion this week.
