Rafael Nadal Survives Battle With Andy Murray, Will Face David Ferrer In 2011 Monte Carlo Final

With all due respect to Roger Federer, when Novak Djokovic pulled out of Monte Carlo I had the feeling it would be David Ferrer to challenge Nadal, not Roger. In the end, that is what we have, but Andy Murray, who has been reeling since his loss to Djokovic in the Australian Open final, nearly derailed the all-Spanish final, showing form he has not demonstrated in months. Champions don’t like to lose and take no moral victories, but Andy should be proud of the effort he put forth in pushing Nadal, possibly the greatest clay court player of all time.
