LPGA Players Learning Different Languages

In-Kyung Kim

I am happy to see the new commissioner is not draconian in penalizing players for not reaching a pre-determined level of English proficiency in a set time. It seems that it is happening naturally. Which is good. And not only English. Vicky Hurst, who is an American of half-Korean descent is learning Korean. That’s also good, because the LPGA also gets a significant amount of guaranteed television money from Korea.
