Marin Cilic
I was very surprised to see Marin Cilic absolutely overwhelm Bernard Tomic in the 2nd round of the US Open, 6-1 6-0 6-2. 2009 US Open quarterfinalist Cilic was on his game, hitting 34 winners to 16 unforced errors. Tomic was way off, with a paltry 9 winners and 34 unforced errors. That spells 1, love and 2. I thought Tomic was going to be a darkhorse here, a player capable of upsetting a higher seed or two. Now it will be up to Cilic to see if he can pull the surprise victory over 3rd seed, and 5-time US Open champion, Roger Federer.
