First of all, to the folks who visit my blog for golf posts, let me apologize for being a bit sketchy the past few days and weeks. I am first and foremost a HUGE tennis fan. With all the US Open action, I have been a little hit and miss with my golf postings, even posting about the first round of the 2011 Walmart NW Arkansas event and then nothing for rounds 2 and 3. I was so busy, I couldn’t watch the recordings. But as consolation, here is Yuko Mitsuka winning the 2011 Konica Minolta Cup on the JLPGA Tour. It is the second Major of the season for the JLPGA. It is also Yuko’s first Major win and her 4th win overall. Although I am truly happy for Yuko, this was a tough one for me. Sakura Yokomine, my favorite player on the JLPGA, had the lead going into the final round, but shot a 4-over par 76. She ended up finishing 4 shots behind Yuko. So just even par would have meant a playoff. Oh well, this one got away. By the way, the third video is of Hisako Higuchi and Kayoko Ikoma, two past winners of the Japan LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup.
Here are the top finishers.
YUKO MITSUKA (Winner, 6-under)
SHANSHAN FENG (2nd place, 5-under)
SAKURA YOKOMINE (3rd place, 2-under)
