Malaysian Golfer Jean Chua Gets Last Minute Call To Final Round Of LPGA Q-School

Jean Chua at 2011 US Women's Open, First Round

Malaysian golfer Jean Chua thought her 2011 season was over after the 2011 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. She was in the late season LPGA event as a sponsor’s exemption. Sime Darby also has a three-year sponsorship deal with Jean, assisting her with obtaining top level coaching and entry fees. Now she has a chance to qualify for the LPGA as a card-carrying member. She missed the cut by 1 stroke in the second stage of Q-school, but was first alternate. When fewer than 144 responded by the October 21st deadline, Jean was in. She will work with her coach Ian Trigg in Australia for 2 weeks to prepare before returning to the United States on November 12th. The 5 day pressure cooker that is LPGA Q-school is scheduled to begin on 11.30.11. Good luck, Jean!
