Kim Clijsters To Play Exhibition Match With Caroline Wozniacki At 2011 Diamond Games

Kim Clijsters, Caroline Wozniacki at Thailand Exhibition in Early 2011

Kim Clijsters really started 2011 looking like she might just be the player to beat, winning the first Major, the Australian Open, and reclaiming the #1 ranking for a week. But a series of injuries have caused her to miss large parts of the year and not play that well when she did take the court. Hopefully she can find her form and stay healthy in 2012. As a Kimmie fan, she’s my favorite player, I know that she might not play much past the 2012 London Olympics. In fact, if it were not for the 2012 London Olympics, I think Kimmie might have retired this year. Just a hunch. She will make a return to the court on December 8th at the Diamond Games in Belgium to play world #1 Caroline Wozniacki in an exhibition match. Kim has never lost a regular match against Caroline, but this is just an exhibition. Still, I am curious how well Clijsters will move and if she can just finish the match with no pain.
