United States Soccer Women’s National Team Goalkeeper Hope Solo joined her fellow National Team players for a two-week training camp in Sweden. For Hope, the trip rekindled memories of playing in the Swedish Premier Division after the WUSA folded. Hope had been a member of the Philadelphia Charge (WUSA) before heading to Sweden to play for Kopparbergs/Goteberg FC. The training camp is part of final preparations for the 2012 London Summer Olympics. The United States is the 2-time defending Olympic Gold Medalists in Women’s Soccer. While in Sweden, the US Women’s National Team will play both Sweden and World Cup champions Japan. The USWNT is also scheduled to play France, Colombia and North Korea in group play at the 2012 Olympics.
