Former world #1 Caroline Wozniacki reached the final of the 2012 KDB Korea Open with a tough 3-set semifinal win over Ekaterina Makarova. Honestly, I’m neither surprised Caro won nor that Katya pushed her. Makarova is the kind of player the top stars should beat but if you come out less than ready, she can pull an upset like she did beating Serena Williams at the Australian Open. Caro’s opponent in the final, Kaia Kanepi, is very dangerous. Kanepi has 2 titles this year, which is 2 more than Caroline. But this is Wozniacki’s chance to take the first step in regaining her place among the top players.
