The 2012 Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship held it’s pro-am and gala dinner, with players having a chance to let their hair down and get dressed up before the real drama begins in round one. Lexi Thompson had her 3rd ever hole in one on the 16th hole during the pro-am, something I’m sure she’d love to duplicate again this week when there is money on the line. In other news, Jiyai Shin pulled out of the event. She had a chance to win the Vare Trophy this year, but now cannot qualify because there are not enough rounds left to for her to fill the minimum rounds completed quota.
