Yuki Ichinose should be thankful that she had a cushion going into the final round of the 2013 T Point Ladies Classic. Her 2-under 70 round was good, giving her a 14-under overall victory. She played very well, especially considering she was going for her first JLPGA win. There might have been some nerves, but she held her game together. The potential problem for Yuki was that a handful of players behind her were having even better days. Alone in second place was Rikako Morita, who went 4-under for the day, leaving her 1 shot behind Ichinose at 13-under. Three other players, Mi-Jeong Jeon, Na Ri Lee and Teresa Lu all went even lower at 5-under 67. MJJ had to settle for solo third at 12-under overall, while Na Ri and Teresa were among a group tied at 4th at 10-under. That group included Ritsuko Ryu who blistered the course at 7-under 65. Like the others, she just trailed Yuki (who had her own sensational round on the second day when she went 8-under 64) by too much. Congratulations to Yuki Ichinose on her first JLPGA title!
