Maria Sharapova took some time out before Wimbledon 2013 to launch her Sugarpova candy line at Selfridges, a high end department store in England (I believe this was at the Oxford street location). There’s no doubt that Masha’s Sugarpova investment has paid off. I always hoped it would be successful for her, but part of thought…oh, we’ll hear about it a little and then it will fade away. But it seems sales have been good (250,000 bags in the first 3 months) and the expectations are for 1 million bags in 2013 alone. That’s very good for a new candy that is only being sold in select stores. Looks like Masha has the golden touch!
