Maria Sharapova helps introduce 2014 Porsche Macan (click to enlarge)
Former world #1 Maria Sharapova was on hand at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The career Grand Slam champion in the capacity of her role as a Porsche Ambassador helped to introduce the 2014 Porsche Macan. The Macan is a compact crossover SUV, smaller than the Porsche Cayenne. Macan is Indonesian for tiger. Not only is Masha a Porsche Ambassador, she is also the 2-time reigning champion of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2012, she defeated Victoria Azarenka in the final. This year, she successfully defended her title by besting Li Na in the 2013 final. In addition to prizemoney, she also won a Porsche Carrera 911 for each championship.
