Last year, Stacy Lewis won a windy 2013 Ricoh Women’s British Open on the Old Course at St. Andrews. She has kept up her high level of play, regaining the world #1 ranking and coming in to the 2014 WBO off a win in Arkansas. Unless and until her play falters, I look at her as the favorite at the beginning of every event. This year the tournament moves to Royal Birkdale. Yani Tseng was the champion the last time the Women’s British Open was played at Royal Birkdale. Also causing headlines coming in is the winner of the previous LPGA Major, Michelle Wie. Her 2014 US Women’s Open victory highlighted what has been a comeback year for Michelle. Getting back to her winning ways this year is Paula Creamer. Her win at the 2014 HSBC Women’s Champions not only was her first title on tour sine the 2010 US Women’s Open, but also gave us what I still consider the shot of the year when she drain an amazing 75 foot eagle putt on the second hole of a playoff for the win. Here are a few videos of Michelle, Stacy and Paula prior to this year’s Women’s British Open.
