Coming off a 7th place finish at the Marathon Classic, Michigander Kris Tamulis took some time to talk about this week’s Meijer LPGA Classic. Outside of that top 10, it’s been a rough year for Kris, so hopefully she can build on that good performance and finish in the money again.
Lydia Ko and Karrie Webb are multiple winners on tour in 2014. Lydia comes in off her second win of the season, triumphing at the Marathon Classic. The 17-year old world #2 is at the top of her game heading into Michigan. Lydia wasn’t even born when Karrie Webb won her first career LPGA/LET title at the 1995 Women’s British Open. With her two wins this year, Karrie now has 41 LPGA titles in her Hall of Fame career. Both took a moment to talk before the tournament gets underway.
Morgan Pressel knows a thing or two about being a teenage prodigy. At 26 now, she returns to Michigan for her first LPGA event. She spent summers in Michigan playing as a junior and has family in the state. Some of them will be on hand to watch her play this week. Hopefully, she will play well.
